These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MiraPay's mobile application, wallet infrastructure, and all related services ("Services"). By creating an account or using MiraPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

01 — Agreement

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, registering for, or using MiraPay, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use MiraPay.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

02 — Eligibility

Eligibility

To use MiraPay, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a resident of a country where our Services are available
• Have a valid phone number and email address
• Not be barred from using financial services under applicable law
• Complete identity verification as required by our KYC process

03 — Services

Services Offered

MiraPay provides the following core services:

• Mobile Wallet: Store, manage, and transact with funds in your MiraPay wallet
• Top-Up: Fund your wallet via bank transfer, card, or USSD
• Money Transfer: Send and receive funds to/from other users and bank accounts
• VTU (Virtual Top-Up): Purchase airtime, mobile data, and utility bill payments
• Transaction History: View detailed records of all account activity

We may add, modify, or discontinue services at any time with reasonable notice.

04 — Account & KYC

Account Registration & KYC

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You agree to:

• Maintain the accuracy of your profile information
• Keep your PIN and password confidential and not share them
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Submit identity documents for KYC verification as required by regulation
• Not create multiple accounts or use another person's account

05 — Wallet & Transactions

Wallet & Transactions

Your MiraPay wallet is not a bank account. Funds held in your wallet are safeguarded in accordance with applicable e-money regulations. Please note:

• Transaction limits apply based on your KYC tier
• All transactions are final once confirmed — review carefully before sending
• Transfers to incorrect accounts due to user error may not be recoverable
• Wallet funds do not earn interest
• We reserve the right to reverse transactions found to be fraudulent or erroneous

06 — Fees

Fees & Charges

Applicable fees for transactions and services are displayed in-app before you confirm. Fees may include:

• Transfer fees for outgoing wallet-to-bank transactions
• Top-up processing fees depending on the funding method
• VTU service convenience charges

We reserve the right to adjust fees with prior notice. Continued use after a fee change constitutes acceptance.

07 — Prohibited Conduct

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use MiraPay for:

• Money laundering, fraud, or any illegal financial activity
• Funding terrorism or sanctioned entities
• Unauthorized access to other users' accounts
• Circumventing KYC limits through multiple accounts
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or exploiting the platform
• Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations

08 — Liability

Limitation of Liability

MiraPay is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
• We are not responsible for losses resulting from user error, device loss, or unauthorized access caused by your negligence
• Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the transaction in dispute
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service availability

09 — Termination

Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the platform.

You may close your account at any time by following the process in-app or by contacting support@mirapay.app. Any remaining wallet balance will be disbursed to your registered bank account after applicable checks.

10 — Governing Law

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of MiraPay shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Nigeria.

You agree to first attempt to resolve disputes by contacting our support team at support@mirapay.app before initiating formal proceedings.
